I bought the 7100i to use at work. All my drivers had the Mike (Telus) phones. I wanted the data and email capabilites. So I got the 7100i. Two days later I turned my data package down to minimal, kept the unlimited international PTT and bought a CURVE!!
Telus restricts so much of the capabilites of the 7100i. It was sad. So, along came the Curve and the Addiction began!!
Did I mention we got rid of the mike phones and activated 30 Curves on BES with a Push Dispatch system?? I did now. Beats the Mike phones any day. Instead of giving information and having them call back ten minutes later asking what trailer number they were assigned, or what was their trip number. It is all pushed to them and they can easily reference all the information.
Of course, having to be one step ahead of the drivers, I am on the Bold and the Curve 8900. Just gotta keep my "King of the Hill" status.

Nope. With my fleet moved over to Curves on a BES system, when the contract runs out on my 7100i I will be out of the PTT market.
My kids PTT phones' contracts have expired, so my 7100i is basically a paperweight in my briefcase.
